POSTAL LEAGUE
To participate, you must be "Qualified" to use the Indoor Range. Refer to the Range Info page for details.
A "Postal League" is where competitors shoot on their home ranges, and scores are mailed to a match coordinator.
Our Postal League shoots on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting in early October and running through the end of April.
Competition begins in early January and runs through the end of the season.
The range is open from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All competition takes place at Blue Hill.
The Postal League at Blue Hill shoots a course of fire known as Bullseye. This is precision shooting at 50 ft.
There are 3 categories: .22 pistols, .22 rifles, and Center Fire pistols. You may compete in any or all catagories.
Handguns are fired off-hand (one-handed).
10 rounds are fired at each of 3 separate Targets, in the following order:
-
Slow Fire (10 shots in 10 minutes)
-
Timed Fire (5 shots in 20 seconds; reload & repeat)
-
Rapid Fire (5 shots in 10 seconds; reload & repeat)
